The frequency of which flights arrive depends on the time of the year. Flights range from daily to once a week, depending on the carrier you are looking at and the time of year. For the times of year where flights are less frequent and you would like to come when there are no direct flights on your chosen day, you can take a flight to San Pedro Sula (SAP) and take a small plane to Roatan.
There are no direct flights from Europe at this time.
Domestic air service is handled by several local airlines; CM Airlines, SOSA, TACA regional and others, and it is normally not required to book for domestic travel, but we recommend that you do, especially if you are connecting to Roatan. You can fly daily from San Pedro Sula, La Ceiba and Tegucigalpa to Roatan.
There is a ferry connecting Roatan with La Ceiba on the mainland Honduras. The ride takes 1 hour and 15 minutes and leaves La Ceiba at 9:30 am and 4:30 pm. Opposite direction the ferry leaves Roatan at 7 am and 2 pm. For more info visit www.roatanferry.com
Take the ferry from Utila to La Ceiba and connect to above mentioned ferry to Roatan. May you find a private sailsman on Utila which will sail you also to Roatan.
